Compatibility first
Use the complete Neff E-Nr
Use the complete E-Nr from the rating plate, including the index after the slash, and keep the FD number to hand. This distinguishes production versions that can use different components.
Where to lookOpen the main oven door and check the door frame, side trim and lower edge of the opening. On some models the plate is visible only when a drawer or lower panel is opened.
- 01
Match an element's wattage, overall shape, terminal position and fixing-centre dimensions.
- 02
Check whether a control knob is supplied alone or requires a matching control spindle or adaptor.
- 03
Door hinges and seals can differ between cavities on the same multi-oven appliance.
BSH specialist guidance
Neff compatibility details that matter
Neff appliances use the BSH E-Nr system. Record the full E-Nr, including the index after the slash, because fascia names and outward appearance do not identify every production version.
For BSH cooking appliances, confirm the correct oven cavity as well as element wattage, terminal position and fixing centres. Multi-cavity appliances can use different hinges, seals and heating parts in each compartment.
Repair safely
Before fitting a part
Ovens and cookers must be safely isolated before any electrical inspection or repair. Fixed-wired appliances should be worked on only by someone competent to prove isolation and reconnect them correctly.

Common questions
Can I buy an oven element just by matching its shape?
No. Elements with the same outline can have different wattages, terminal spacing and mounting dimensions. Confirm the complete appliance reference and compare the technical details.
Does a visibly damaged element confirm the only fault?
Visible damage is useful evidence, but the appliance and circuit should still be tested safely. A failed element may also trip the supply or damage a connection.
